• new intro post

hello! right so this is a star wars side blog but honestly i do get confused and reblog stuff in the wrong place quite often lol and i dont tend to delete posts when it happens.

it is technically also a writing blog so i also reblog like inspo and refs for that here. i do tend to ramble, and am very chatty BUT i am painfully shy with online stuff (tho i’m trying not to be) so there will prob be a bit of a contradiction there while i’m learning

  • yanno I think a big reason why we the people love the clones so much is because they are just as human as us, in comparison to the Jedi at least.

Like in TCW movie, on Teth, they're scaling that cliff right? and anakin like, jumps off and get on one of those droid flight scooter thingys (idk man whatever) and zooms past Rex going "REX FOLLOW ME!!" and we see (a already so fcking exhausted) Rex respond "Yes Sir! working on it."

and we all saw that and said:"YEAH ANAKIN HE'S WORKING ON IT MAN! frickin Jedi, he doesn't HAVE your magical buLLSHIT POWER!!"

  • #the clones whole thing is that they are so human!#this is the hill i'll die on#everything they are is just like. the ideal story mechanism to have you think about humanity and what it is what it means#they were designed to be soldiers. nobody needed them to be people. they decided that copies of jango would be more successful than droids#but it wasnt about their humanity. it was about a copy of jango being a superior soldier. his body his mind.#but they didnt make copies of jango! they made people. individual people. with a whole host of traits that nobody intended for them to have#there is what the kamineese and their trainers intended to put there: things that make a good soldier. and then there is everything else#things that arent really useful for a soldier but which they had anyway because you can not isolate them from the whole person.#you made a person. and so they will love. they will think. they will challenge. even when you dont want them to even when it's inconvenient#you can condition a person from childhood to be obedient. to follow orders. to not know all that has been taken from them. but you can't#prevent them learning. evolving. you cant stop them caring for each other beyond logistics. loving their brothers even when it isnt logical#you cant stop them being curious. seeking out answers to questions you dont want answered.#you can not control every variable. because they are people. and so they are driven by something beyond you. beyond your control#humans love. and they are curious. and they sometimes make decisions beyong logic. beyond prediction.#everything about the clones is human even when they were not really supposed to be human. they were supposed to be a product. perfect copie#and ultimately. what is more human than their fate? to think you are doing one thing as you walk a different path. to do everything right &#yet still end up working towards an end you couldnt have seen. to dedicate your life to protecting something & still end up destroying it#inadvertently. because you were manipulated and couldnt see it coming. to be unable to see where you are heading until its too late#theres something so human about that. they could not escape the story they found themselves in.#whats more human than to be betrayed from the start. to be trapped in a story you didnt choose. and still. to choose to love in spite
  • if there's one thing to know about me, it's that I'm always thinking about antigone in relation to the clone troopers

  • “Tragedy is restful; and the reason is that hope, that foul, deceitful thing, has no part in it. There isn't any hope. You're trapped. The whole sky has fallen on you, and all you can do about it is to shout. Now don't mistake me: I said "shout": I did not say groan, whimper, complain. That, you cannot do. But you can shout.” etc etc, you know??? they're trapped in a tragedy. they're pawns in a tragedy. they're screaming in their own minds about what they've been made to do. fuck.

  • #thinking about this all of the time#it's a tragedy! the story of every clone is ultimately a tragedy#they weren't allowed their own stories#they were not given a choice of paths.#no matter what they did. they could not escape their ending. because for each clone. their purpose was to be a tool in someone elses story.#in every way they were created to work towards someone elses goals. Palpatine: the end of the jedi. Jango:his revenge.#the kamineese cared about profit and the prestige of creating a superior product. they were a means to an end for dooku.#they were intended to be tools at every level. and then they wound up being people anyway. individuals#who could never escape the ending written for them. not that they knew it. no matter how hard they tried to be seen as individuals.#no matter how many people they sucessfully convinced. they tried to escape this#mold but ultimately. when it mattered. they were exactly what they were designed to be.the end of the jedi#and the fact that for the people they were. that was the worst possible purpose. because they were taught to love them.#to be love the people they were made to destroy. and they didnt even know it. the love was there but it was not enough!!!#and also the fact that ultimately it was pointless. the clones ended up being the tools they were made to be. but it didnt work#they were made and destroyed to do one thing. they did their part as they always would have. as they had to. and it was pointless#the clones were betrayed for nothing. they were made. forced to betray themselves. and then destroyed. for nothing.#palpatines plans didnt work. the jedi survived. but the clones never got to see that. they only lived to see themselves betrayed and then#they died forgotten. they didnt get to live to see the betrayal they were born to commit crumble#they lived to be betrayed and they were and then they died. those that did survive longer. suffered a greater betrayal!#to survive their brothers (clones arent made to be alone) and to see that it was all for nothing. empty revenge.#jango betrayed them for nothing. everyone betrayed them for nothing. they were just a cog in a machine that was faulty from the start
  • it’s always “your redemption is something you have to work towards for the rest of your life” and never “how was the unhinged spiral into evil? the unhinged spiral into evil looked fun”

i imagine everytime someone tries to get footage/photos of fox's face, it cuts off right at his neck so he's like ms bellum (?) fron the powerpuff girls

Apparently all the CG Commanders know what Fox looks like and have taken holos. But all the holos look like this.

“Order 65 stated that if a majority of the Senate or the Security Council declared that the Supreme Chancellor—at that time Palpatine—was unfit for duty, the Chancellor was to be arrested or, if necessary, killed.”

    Fox considers his options

  • Impromptu sequel to Coffee Run.

Fox’s caf thievery exploits has led to him possessing a very extensive, very detailed map detailing air vents, droid service shafts, and all manner of secret passageways scattered throughout the Senate building. For security. Yeah. Let’s go with that.
